Leonor Teles
Born in Vila Franca de Xira on the outskirts of Lisbon (1992), Leonor Teles graduated from the National Theatre and Film School (2013) and has a master’s degree in Audiovisual and Multimedia (2015). In 2016, BATRACHIAN’S BALLAD wins the Golden Bear at Berlinale Shorts, the Firebird Award in Hong Kong IFF and Best Short in Curtas de Belo Horizonte. In 2018, her first documentary feature ASHORE wins the Prix International de la SCAM at Cinéma du Réel, Prix de La Ville d’Amiens at Festival d’Amiens, Mejor Opera Prima Internacional at Mar del Plata and Best Documentary at Malaga IFF. Short DOGS BARKING AT BIRDS premiered in Venice Orizzonti Competition 2019 and is a candidate for Best Short in the European Film Awards 2019.
