Born in East Berlin, Rosa Friedrich studied philosophy, film studies and psychology and was teaching expressive dance and theatre before she moved to Vienna to study directing under Michael Haneke and Jessica Hausner. Her Bachelor film POTTED PALM TREES was shown at Karlovy Vary Film Festival and Festival du Nouveau Cinema Montreal. Also she was nominated for First Steps 2020 and was part of Berlinale Talents 2021. Rosa is focusing on a slightly more playful and exotic approach to film language and film
making.
